Family Event to Feature HRC's Welcoming Schools Program
Members of HRC's national boards from Phoenix will talk about the HRC Family Project's program, Welcoming Schools, and HRC's legislative agenda affecting LGBT families in Arizona. Our goal to create awareness, encourage dialogue and provide educational opportunities to the community about Welcoming Schools and other important programs.
HRC's Welcoming Schools program's aim is to provide adminstrators, educators, parents and guardians with the resources necessary to create elementary learning environments in which all learners in schools are welcomed and respected. This program will work to empower parents to learn more about the LGBT community, so they can get involved in supporting equality for all families.
